Curating the Vibe! >>> THE EAST NASHVILLIAN

This was the most amazing honor for me to appear in the 2018 Music issue of The East Nashvillian! In 2018, I did more interviews than ever and every one was a new and awkward learning experience for me. Thanks to Brittney McKenna for being a lovely interviewer and Travis Commeau and Natasha Colleran for making me feel so comfortable during the shoot in the white-hot heat and making me look pretty alright.

The amount of people who have stopped me to look me in the eyes and tell me they loved the article has just touched my heart deeply. Read it on The East Nashvillian here.

Far Out Fest Fierce Female Duo >>> HOMIE SPOTLIGHT!

This was suuuuuch a lovely interview with Audra Ingram involving my partner in crime, Brianne! As members of Helping Our Music Evolve (H.O.M.E.), Audra dug in deep about our various projects in the community, our history of working random jobs together and our respective upbringings. HOME was also the location of the first Far Out mural (designed and painted by Lance Turner) and host to our lineup announcement party for Far Out Fest 2018. Read it all on their blog here. —KLA

Realtors Give Back to Community by Supporting Charitable Causes >>> THE TENNESSEAN

Well, now, this was a treat to be included in this article on Realtors who are giving back to their communities in Middle Tennessee through volunteering and donations. I have been a proud supporter and long-time volunteer of Youth Empowerment through Arts & Humanities / Tennessee Teens Rock Camps since 2010 and it was a no-brainer for me to decide to start putting 5% of my real estate sales commissions towards this cause. These camps have changed me fundamentally as a person and I can only IMAGINE how mind-blowing it must be for the teenaged campers!

Thank you so kindly to Mr. Bill Lewis for interviewing me for this piece in The Tennessean and extra special thanks to Sophie Mason for suggesting me as a person to highlight. Truly an unexpected and cool honor! Read it right here!

Meditating with Eric Slick >>> ORIGINAL FUZZ BLOG

I first met Eric Slick in 2010 (?) when he played a show in my tiny East Nashville living room with Hop Along and Lithuania. Since then, I've seen him perform numerous times with Dr. Dog, once at The End with Lithuania, and, now, solo at Fond Object Records' 4th Avenue location in downtown Nashville, as well as with a full band backing him later that evening at the High Watt venue nearby. It's been really inspiring to see the things he's accomplished and to get a chance to dig in deep with him about a range of existential subjects.

You can read my interview with him (and the help of my friends / colleagues Liz and Lee) on the Original Fuzz blog here or keep scrolling to check it out. -- KLA
